Overview

This project was completed by a team of three designers—Shemar M., JJ Doherty, and Menna Ashraf. It fulfilled the objective of an assignment, which tasked us with exploring how AI tools could streamline teamwork and affect the speed, quality, and workflow of a design project.

Project Goal

Our mission was the creation of the Clarus: Unified E-Commerce Dashboard. The core objective was to eliminate data fragmentation for multi-platform e-commerce sellers by unifying sales, inventory, and performance insights in a single, cohesive dashboard.

Collaborative Process

The team implemented a front-loaded, AI-augmented design workflow, leveraging both collaborative prompt engineering and AI-driven analysis:

• Prompt Engineering: We collaboratively merged initial drafts into one highly constructive prompt, detailing the target persona, core features, and UI/UX structure.

• AI for Creation & Prototyping: We used Figma Make to rapidly generate the initial wireframe. I then took the lead on iterating this AI-generated structure and setting up the separate, functional prototype used for usability testing. This bridged the gap between AI-generated structure and user expectations.

• Usability Testing: We set up and executed a usability test in Maze.

• AI for Analysis: We used Copilot to summarize the test results into a concise, actionable usability report. This analysis was vital for confirming the AI-generated design was clear but fundamentally inefficient.
